I have three new Kindle covers with me in Ocean Park, Maine, all of them helpful to protect a Kindle at the beach or other summer destinations. In this video, I loaded my Kindle 6-inch US-only wireless into a waterproof Guardian cover sold by M-Edge Accessories for $79.99. Case and Kindle survived the ride in fine style.

Excellent. That may just be the BEST video displaying a Kindle ever. And what fun!!

Does M-Edge offer any kind of “leakage” guarantee, or is it strictly a “buyer beware” situation?
Posted 08 Jul 2010 at 4:37 pm ¶Jim, I don’t think it’s a guarantee, and they provide a video where you are supposed to check the Guardian with a tissue or something before risking your real Kindle in it. That said, I think if properly seated and cared for, it provides a high level of protection against water – way more than a Ziploc bag, that’s for sure!

That was hilarious. As the unofficial “kindle” dermatologist, however, I have to recommend some additional sunscreen!
